As you gather this Thanksgiving, set some new gratitude traditions at your table for friends and family to participate in.
1. Use a special tablecloth that all your guests can sign and write what they are grateful for.
2. Create festive name cards that tell each of your guests what you are thankful for about them!
3. Have little ribbons of paper in a bowl with a pen for guests to write what they are thankful for on. Bless the bowl before dinner and let guests pull out the slips as you eat and read aloud.
4. Have two blessing candles on the table that you light during your Thanksgiving prayer and then have each person say what they are grateful for.
5. Invite someone to dinner that you don't know very well and is alone for the holiday.
6. After your dinner (or before) take the kids and serve a few hours in the public soup kitchen.
7. Don't forget a little peanut butter and birdseed smeared on a pine cone for our feathered friends in the backyard!
Peace~
